Development Description: The proposed development will consist of the following: • Improved pedestrian facilities. • Improved cycling infrastructure through the provision of new segregated cycle tracks. • Improvement of the layout of the Showgrounds and Silversprings Roundabout. • Controlled and uncontrolled pedestrian and cyclist road crossings. • Reduction in junction widths to reduce crossing times and distances. • Safe and convenient crossings at each roundabout / junction along the cycle route. • Public lighting improvements. • Installation of road markings and signage. • Surface water drainage system. • Hard and soft landscaping. • Upgrading all existing bus infrastructure along the route. • All site clearance works associated with the proposed development and all associated drainage and site works. • All associated site and ancillary works. The Proposed Development includes upgrades of the public realm to the front of a number of sites on the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage and the Tipperary County Council Record of Protected Structures. There will be no direct impact on these structures.
